The title of the exhibition is “Wraparound”, referring to everything that envelops or surrounds. In clothing, it is a way of fastening, protecting, and covering. Beyond its functional meaning, wraparound evokes inclusion, care, and protection—interwoven with the ideas of weaving, threads, and warp.
For this exhibition, Laura traveled with members of the Embera Indigenous community. The exhibition was presented during London Fashion Week at Somerset House, as part of IFS by the British Fashion Council, where 14 designers from around the world were selected for their role in shaping a brave new world.
